New York Real Estate and Appraisal School offers an accelerated appraiser license course for individuals who have no appraisal background. It is called the Real Estate Appraiser Assistant License.
 To obtain this license, you must do the following;
1. Complete 150 hours of courses including R-5 (30 hours), R-6 (30 hours), National USPAP (15 hours), R-7 (15 hours.), R-8 (15 hours), R-9 (30 hours), R-10 (15 hours)
2. Complete the NYS application you will obtain at the Brooklyn School of Real Estate and file with a $275.00  fee to the Department of State.
This license allows you to work under the supervision of a licensed, certified or general appraiser who will co-sign your appraisal reports.
The Brooklyn School offers the appraisal qualifying courses  continuously in day and evening sessions.
We also offer: R-11 (15 hours), SMF (15 hours) and RE-1 or RE-2 (20 hours) certified residential appraiser qualifying courses.
