You must be at least 19 years old to obtain a broker license in New York.
Youalso need to demonstrate either one year of experience as a salespersonor two or more years of equivalent experience in various forms of real estate activity. The experience does not have to be obtained in NewYork State.
Completion of the 45-hour salesperson qualifying course is needed to enroll in the 45-hour broker course. Therefore,broker applicants require a total of 90 hours of qualifyingcourse education.
